The Vegan Research Panel
Discovering 21st Century Vegans

Did you know...
The typical 21st century vegan is female, age under 35, and has been using the internet for 3 years or more. She became vegan for ethical/moral reasons and will go out of her way to buy from ethical companies. She uses the web to locate vegan products and is much more likely to buy online than her non-vegan peers.

What's it all about?
The Vegan Research Panel consisted of more than 2,000 people. It ran for four years, producing eight of the largest surveys of vegans ever carried out.

Lies, damn lies & statistics
How many vegans are there in the UK? How about the rest of the world? Is a vegan diet healthy anyway?

It's tough at the top
Vegans are a healthy bunch, with 8 out of 10 saying that they feel healthier since changing to a vegan diet. However, vegans are still getting a raw deal when eating out, with 9 out of 10 saying that they are poorly catered for in restaurants. Vegans would also like to be better catered for on television, with vegan cookery shows, health programmes and product reviews all in demand.
